Well. let us proceed our discussion. So, I'd like to present you our complex of armours and civil costumes in which we're going to wear during the fest.

Woolen cote and shosses, breeches and chemise (by. st. Louis) are made of linen (flax), leather shoes from London excavations. Everything is handmade.

Well, gambisson is made of 10 strata of cotton, handmade sew, above it leather curie, helmet by Bible of Mazijovski with bronze buckle, chained coif. At this picture you can see templars schield - it will be removed. I'm going to bring spear and onehanded axe.

Thanks for these nice pics.

About civilian costumes : no comment, we don't care about them (too much "templar looking" for myself, but ok)

About military costumes : all Maciejowski items must be removed (too late for Bouvines) chapels (to be replaced by nasal helmets) and leather chest protections.
Of course shields must be replaced (no heraldry for infantrymen).
And if you wear separated chainmail hood, you are on the German side (French soldiers don't have these kind of item at the beginning of the XIIIth century).

That's all ... the other items are ok !
